I am very excited to announce the launch of my new blog! The new blog has more customizations, a flash header, larger photos, and allows visitors to view my work by category. So, visitors can view all sessions I have done in each category separately (i.e. engagement, maternity, newborn, family, etc.). The new blog is easy to use, and shares a lot of the same information with my main website. My favorite feature is that the new blog allows me to show larger photos, and I will also be using post templates to showcase my favorites in a storyboard fashion from your session. I will no longer be doing the flickr slideshows or the slideshows with music. *If you would like a slideshow set to music featured on my blog and a DVD copy that plays on the computer and TV, it is an extra $75. Repeat clients and referrals may use their $25 print credit toward the slideshow.

Rusk Family 2010 | Sanibel Family Photographer

This was the third year in a row that the Rusk family came down and had family portraits taken. It has been so special for me to see this family every year and watch the boys grow! The boys were absolutely adorable, and Sanibel was the perfect spot for the shoot. We explored the nature trail and headed to the beach with the lighthouse, which was a great backdrop! It was a beautiful evening, and we got some amazing, fun shots. This family is always so playful, and I love that they can be themselves and relax for those natural shots. I loved seeing their personalities shine through and the brothers having so much fun together! Their slideshow turned out so beautiful too! Enjoy!

The Howerton family asked me to take their family portraits for the second year in a row and I was super excited! This family is so sweet and the kids are always a blast! This time we went to downtown Fort Myers for the shoot. Last year I got a really neat photo of them with a ton of birds, so this year I was pleasantly surprised when we found a bunch birds on the beach! We got some neat pictures where it looks like they are standing on the water, and we even visited an ice cream shop! It was great seeing them again, and I truly appreciate having them as repeat clients!

So, after much thought, I have decided to offer professional prints through an online ordering site for my clients, and their family and friends. My clients will still receive a CD of their photos because I think it is important that they have all their special memories from their photoshoot, but I also realize the need to offer professional prints at an affordable price. After researching my options, I have decided to use Bay Photos out of California, as they have a great reputation and make fabulous prints! They offer many products and canvas prints as well. There is also a "download" option where you may choose to pay to download the photo to your computer and have it instantly. I am very excited to be able to offer my clients, and their family and friends, these additional options!!!

On my client site, each album has its own password. So, after I finish a photoshoot, I will email my clients their password, and they are welcome to share it with family and friends. Once inside your album, you will see all the photos taken during the session. After clicking on a photo of your choice, you will be able to select "Buy" and the next screen will show you the options of print sizes, products, and downloads available. Once you have completed your order, you will be able to pay online through your shopping cart. If you have any questions during the process, please feel free to ask.

This new ordering site will give clients access to professional prints and products at affordable prices so they can cherish and share their precious memories from their session. I am also excited that their family and friends will be able to view all the photos and order their own prints/downloads, especially if they don't live near the clients.

Pink Heals Tour 2010 | Naples Photographer

The "Guardians of the Ribbon" and their pink firetrucks came to Naples over the weekend! They tour the country honoring women and supporting the fight against cancer. I was truly honored to be a part of this event by photographing the day's activities. We welcomed the trucks at Harley Davidson of Naples, then headed out to different areas around town to promote awareness. I got to ride in the truck, Karen, to the Super Walmart with firemen, Phil & Jay. I was able to capture the truck signing by those who have survived cancer and those who are battling it, as well as the warm embrace they received from the firemen in pink. Afterward, everyone headed to the Mercato in Naples for the evening's events. I was priveledged to have captured the procession of the firetrucks from the bucket of a tower truck raised over the street and I got some amazing aerial shots! The night was so much fun with a band, police dog demonstration, face painting, dunk tank, Barron Collier band, Naples High cheerleaders, silent auction, etc.

I want to thank all the volunteers, everyone involved, and my friends and family who came out to support this cause with me. I am truly grateful to have been a part of it.

Betcy and Jeremiah were such a fun couple to photograph. Betcy is from Canada and Jeremiah lives down here, so they are super excited to get married this Decemeber and finally be together! We met at the dog beach and did some formal shots, then they changed into their beach clothes and we got some great shots with their pit bull, Tank. During the shoot, they always kept each other laughing and had a great time just playing together. When we got to the beach, the sun was absolutely gorgeous - a hazy yellow/orange that's perfect for those romantic shots! We were also blessed with a rainbow on the other side! It was such an amazing night, and I am happy to have met the couple and wish them the very best!

I photographed this family about a year ago for Audrina's 1-year-old portraits, so I was so excited they asked me to do a newborn shoot of their new addition, Max! Max is absolutely adorable and is such a sweet baby. It took him a little bit to fall asleep, but when he did, we got some beautiful shots! His sweet, squishy little face is soo cute! Mom and Dad are UF graduates, so I was excited when I found out we got to incorporate some Gator socks into the shoot! I was also able to take some 2-year-old shots of little Adie, and she was as cute as always! I love so many of these photos, it was hard to choose my favorites to post here. Enjoy!

The Abbott family was one of my very first large families to photograph over two years ago. It was such an honor that they invited me back for another family photoshoot, and this time it was at the beach and with the Skinner family too! My husband and I went to St. Lucia for vacation and it was absolutely beautiful and relaxing there. We staying in an amazing private villa in the rainforest and even had our own view of the Petit Piton. We went zip lining, snorkeling, hiking through the rainforest, and we even got to go into waterfalls! We got a private tour of Jade Mountain (where Jake on the Bachelor proposed) and that place was AMAZING! I was so happy we went there because I got some great shots of the Pitons from the top of the resort. Here are some of the photos I took.

Tess and her family are expecting twins - a boy and a girl! So exciting!!! I loved seeing the pink and blue together, so cute. The Bruns sisters were so much fun! The youngest is a senior in high school, the middle sister goes to UF, and the oldest graduated from UF and lives in Atlanta. Wow, I can't believe it has been over two years since I began my photography business. The last couple of years have been amazing! I've accomplished things I never dreamed of, and I would like to thank God, my husband, family, friends, and all of my clients for supporting me in my new endeavor.

What a fun family! I love when families just play around and act like themselves during the shoot. The kids had lots of energy and we brought the dogs out to play too! January 2010 in Florida has been one of the coldest since I've lived here. Still the photo shoots must go on, so the Collins family and I ventured out onto Lover's Key for some great family shots! It sure was cold, but the family bundled up in some warm sweaters and scarves, and we braved it! We even took a hot chocolate break! At the end of the shoot, I had the girls do a jumping shot and they had so much fun jumping all over the place! It was adorable! The baby boy was absolutely beautiful and super smiley too! My sister recently got engaged, so when I was in town over the holidays, we did her engagement photos. We ran around Frisco and found some pretty cool spots! What a sweet family! This session was a present for the grandparent's anniversary, and we had a great time capturing memories. My husband and I spent our 2 year wedding anniversary around San Francisco and Napa Valley and it was an amazing trip! We had so much fun traveling all over and taking lots of pictures. We visited the Golden Gate Bridge, Cliff House, Painted Ladies (Full House), World's Most Crooked Street, Napa, Sonoma, Point Reyes, and Muir Woods! I was so excited when the Fuller and Rusk families invited me back to take pictures of their vacation down in Estero. I couldn't believe how much the kids had grown since last year. The little girl was even walking! We went to Koreshan Park and the kids loved running around the porch of one of the houses, playing in the puddles, exploring a bridge over the river, and watching a gopher tortoise in its hole. I even got a photo of the Rusk family when really loud thunder suprised us all, and their faces were priceless! It was so nice seeing these families again, I hope yall had a fun vacation, and hopefully I will see you next year!

In addition to my photography, I am also pursuing my master's degree in Educational Leadership and I am a graduate assistant in the Office of Graduate Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University. This has allowed me to gain experience in higher education - and I love my job! I have always been "scholarly" at heart, but love the creativity I have in my photography, so I am able to have the best of both worlds! Christina and Erin are friends of ours from softball. When they asked me to do their maternity photos, I felt so privileged. We had such a good time and got some great shots!

Erin is a firefighter, so I was super excited when we got to take pictures with a firetruck! And the baby's room was so pretty decorated in a princess theme. We also got their lab, Sam, in a few shots. He was such a good boy posing for the camera!

It was such an honor to have the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial come to town. What a moving experience. My Dad fought in Vietnam and luckily survived, but he lost many friends. I got a rubbing of a name of one of his buddies who died in the war. My Dad was affected by Agent Orange, so the Quilt of Tears was especially close to my heart. Even though I live states away from him, I am always thinking about him and what he went through for this country. God Bless all the Veterans and the Troops that fight for us every day.
